With Revit alone, you can already issue quality drawings. MA-REBARS aims to raise that further — a complete rebar system where every tool, from bar generation to finished sheets, gives everyone the freedom and customizability to work their way, raising both quality and speed.

From model to finished sheets
Every step lives inside the same Revit tab and builds on the previous one — nothing to re-type, nothing to reconcile by hand.
STEP 01
Before you reinforce, review the structural model: Element Database lets you browse element parameters, filter missing or empty values, and run Warning System check profiles.
STEP 02
Generate column, beam, wall, opening and foundation rebar on real hosts with live preview. Apply to a selection, push it to every matching mark, or modify only what changed.
STEP 03
Partition-based marking with Find Mark, overrides, rebar groups with quantity and spacing, and variable bar stagger — consistent numbering across the whole model.
STEP 04
Auto Documentation builds sections, tags, dimensions and bending details. Standard or native legend rebar schedules, variable schedules, Mass Bending Detail and Excel export for fabricators.
STEP 05
Configurable Rebar Check validates marks, partitions, similarity, variable schedules on sheets and missing tags — the final review before the finished sheets are issued.
STEP 06
Schedules and details placed on sheets, view titles bound to element marks, native tables refreshed after re-marking — the sheet stays aligned with the model.
The toolkit
Rectangular and round columns: stirrup zones, longitudinal and corner bars, starters, Column / Starter / Full modes, saved profiles and live preview.
Special beams with supports and extra bars. Beam systems such as ring beams and grade beams, reinforced together with their connections.
Vertical and horizontal wall layers, corners and starters, plus Opening Rebar around wall and floor openings.
One window for pad footings, pile caps, bored piles, continuous wall foundations (strip footings) and round slabs — meshes, hooks, covers and profiles per host.
Partition-based marks, standard and native legend schedules with bending shapes and per-diameter totals, variable schedules, Mass Bending Detail, Excel export.
Element Database and Warning System for model checks, Rebar Check and HideTag tools, plus Central Settings and Import for shared parameters, shapes and schedule templates across the team.
AI + MA-REBARS
MA-REBARS includes an optional local MCP bridge for Cursor, Claude Desktop or a compatible ChatGPT setup. Off by default, running on your machine — the add-in executes, the AI orchestrates.

Enable MCP in Revit and in your AI client. The assistant sees hosts and schemas and can apply, document and check directly in your model.

Capture how your team really details rebar — column base rebar, beam defaults, documentation order — in plain language in the AI Rules editor. Ask the AI to refine the rules as you go.

Ask for base reinforcement on selected columns, Auto Documentation, marks and schedules — step by step, following your recipe. You confirm whenever something is ambiguous.
You decide what “default rebar” means for your office. The add-in executes; the AI orchestrates — always against your written rules.
